Posted on July 23, 2025July 24, 2025 by Adeniyi Salau

Do you have a restricted Facebook Ads Account?

Don’t lose hope.

In this article, I will show you how to recover that account, regardless of what caused the ban in the first place.

Here is the step-by-step guide that you need to follow.

Step 1: Login and Visit the Account Quality Centre.

  1. Log in to your Facebook Account.
  2. Visit the Account Quality Page: https://facebook.com/accountquality
  3. You will see any Red flags or warnings related to:
  • Ad Accounts
  • Business Manager
  • Your Profile page
  • Page You Manage

Step 2: Understand why you were restricted.

Click on the specific ad account or business asset that was restricted. Facebook will tell you the reason, such as:

  • Violating Advertising Policies
  • Suspicious payment activity
  • Using misleading content or landing page
  • Using a Personal Profile that has policy issues.

Note: Sometimes, the restriction is automatic and can be overturned with a proper appeal.

Step 3: Submit an Appeal Request Reivew

If there is an option to appeal, you will see a button like:

  • Request Review
  • Disagree with Decision
  • See Details> Follwed by an appeal form.

What to write in the Appeal Prompt (Template):

Here is a professional and convincing appeal message you can copy and paste (modify it slightly to fit your tone).

Kindly review the restriction on my account. I truly value the platform and would appreciate the opportunity to continue advertising responsibly.

Thank you for the time and consideration.

Regards.

Step 4: Contact Facebook Live Support (If Appeal Button is not available)

Sometimes the “Request Review” button might not show, or your case needs human intervention. In that case:

Go to https://facebook.com/business/help

  1. Scroll to the buttom of the page
  2. Click on “Get Started” or “Support”
  3. Choose Advertising > Policy & Account Issues > Ad Account Disabled.
  4. If Live chat is available in your region, you will see “Chat with a Representative”.
  5. Provide all requested details (ad account ID, business name etc).

Pro Tip: Stay calm, respectful and professional. They are more likely to help you if you come across as cooperative.

Step 5: Monitor Your email for Notification

Facebook will notify you of their decicisions via:

  • Email (linked to your Business Manager or personal profile).
