TOPIC: THE LAW THAT CAN CHANGE THE WORLD 🌍
MINISTER: SAHR KARIMU
DATE: 11TH AUGUST 2025
MAIN SCRIPTURE: ✝️ MATTHEW 7:12 (NKJV) — “Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
🌞❤️Beloved family of God 😊💖,
I greet you in the matchless Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 🙌. Today is not just another day — it is a divine appointment to align our hearts with the very heartbeat of God. I’m not here to entertain your ears but to stir your spirit, challenge your mind, and inspire your actions. Let us open our Bibles 📖, open our minds 🧠, and open our hearts ❤️ for what God wants to say today.
📖Jesus Christ, our Rabbi, Teacher, and Redeemer, summarized the essence of all the Law and the Prophets in one sweeping statement:
➡️ “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.”
》》Greek (Koine): ὅσα ἐὰν θέλητε (hosa ean thelēte) — “all things without exception that you desire or wish.”
》》Hebrew: ואהבת לרעך כמוך (ve’ahavta l’re’acha kamocha) — “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
》》Aramaic: ‘Abed l’qeryak k’d’en anash ‘abed lak — “Do for the other what you would want the other to do for you.”
⊙This is not a suggestion but a commandment. It is the foundation of godly relationships and the cure for the sickness of selfishness.
LET ME TELL YOU A STORY 📜
In an ancient city, two bakers sold bread in the same market. One baker always weighed the bread with a generous hand, ensuring customers got more than they paid for. The other would secretly press his thumb on the scale, giving less.
One day, the king disguised himself and bought from both. The generous baker was invited to the palace and appointed as the royal supplier, ensuring his generations would be blessed. The deceitful baker was banished from the market.
💡 Moral: The way you treat others when no one is watching determines how God treats you when everyone is watching.
LESSON LEARNED FROM THE STORY ✅
◇ Honesty creates favor; dishonesty invites judgment.
◇ The Golden Rule is a seed; what you sow into others will eventually return to you.
◇ God is both the Witness and the Rewarder of our dealings.
🔍In Jewish rabbinic tradition, Rabbi Hillel said, “What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor.” Jesus elevated this from a negative command (don’t harm) to a positive command (actively do good).
😌In today’s culture, many operate by the “Iron Rule” (Do unto others before they do unto you) or the “Silver Rule” (Leave others alone if they leave you alone). But Jesus gave us the Golden Rule — to actively initiate good, even to those who may never repay.
