Luke 16:10 (NLT): If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.
KINGDOM FINANCE PRINCIPLES: GOD CARES HOW YOU MAINTAIN THINGS
God pays attention to how you maintain the things He’s already given you. His eyes are on what may seem to you as minor details.
For example, do you keep your house clean all the time, or do you only clean it to impress people when they visit? Do you take care of your shoes or do you walk around with dirty unpolished shoes? Do you take care of your books or does any book given to you end up with a torn cover?
If you’re careless with what you already have, why would God trust you with more and better?
Excellence starts with what you already have. Sometimes the only way God will bring you a new car is if you faithfully take care of the one you have now. He may only shift you from a rented house to your own home when you start taking proper care of your rented premises.
When God sees that you value what He’s given you—even something as small as a phone—He sees someone He can trust with more.
Today, look around you and examine your life. What have you been given yet has been handled carelessly? Make the choice to treat it with more care.
FURTHER STUDY: Proverbs 27:23, Matthew 25:21
GOLDEN NUGGET: Excellence starts with what you already have. God pays attention to how you maintain the things He’s already given you.
PRAYER: Loving Father, thank You for the things You’ve already given me. By Your grace, I take care of them with excellence and gratitude. I choose to be faithful, even in small things, knowing that You see and reward responsible stewardship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
