“In the name of God, I go on this journey. May God the Father be with me, God the Son protect me, and God the Holy Ghost be by my side. Whoever is stronger than these three persons May approach my body and my life; yet Whoso is not stronger than these three Would much better let me be!”

 

Travellers have always looked for a bit of protection from above to keep them safe when traveling through new lands, and this prayer should help to put your mind at ease before you head out on a journey.

“Dear Lord, as I put on the full armour of God, I know that when the day of evil comes, I will be able to stand my ground, and after I have done everything, I will stand. I will stand firm, with the belt of truth buckled around my waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with my feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.”

 

A prayer that is favored by men of faith in the armed services before they head into battle, this prayer can give you a bit of extra strength in your day to day life, even if you do not face the same challenges or adversity that the men and women charged with our nations protection do on a daily basis.

You are never truly alone.

Sometimes we aren’t going to be able to meet the challenges that we have placed before us all on our own. In these moments of struggle, it’s important to remember that you always have access to the help of the Lord if you only ask for it – and this prayer helps you do exactly that.

 

Prayer #7 – For Safe Travel

“God’s Angels guard and keep you All the way that you must travel Till earth’s days are past When blossoms fade and Time is fleeting fast In times of purest joy Or pain and fear God’s Angels guard And keep you safe.”

 

Another of the better protection and safety prayers for those that want to travel, this specific prayer asks for the help of the Lord’s Angels to watch over you as you navigate your journey.

 

Prayer #8 – Protect my Day

“Blessed be my protection when I go out during day or night, That thou mayest not let any of my enemies, or thieves, approach me If they do not intend to bring me what was intended from your Holy Altar. Because God the Lord Jesus Christ is ascended into Heaven in his living Body, And so shall my body and wellbeing be protected on this journey. O Lord, bless me and watch over me day and night. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

 

 

A great way to protect yourself from chance encounters with some of the more unsavoury characters that may inhabit your local area (or anywhere that you find yourself), this protection prayer will not only help you protect the ones that you love as well as yourself but also your possessions and belongings.

 

 

Prayer #9 – Be with Me Christ

“The cross of Christ be with me; The cross of Christ overcomes all water and every fire; The cross of Christ overcomes all weapons; The cross of Christ is a perfect sign and blessing to my soul.”

 

A very simple and straightforward prayer of protection and safety, this prayer invokes the power of the Lord is that is available to each and every one of us in times of need.

 

Prayer #10 – Protection from Heaven

“The blessing which came from heaven, From God the Father, when the true living Son was born, Be with me at all times; The blessing which God spoke over the whole human race, Be with me always.”

 

As much prayer for protection and safety as it is a hearty thanks for everything that the Lord has already helped us with, this is another of the quicker protection prayers you can use each and every morning to safeguard yourself and your loved ones before you head out for the day.
