The Disciple As An Eagle. Part Two
We said earlier that there are two types of Eagles. The Royal Eagle and the Golden Eagle.
THE GOLDEN EAGLE
The Golden Eagle has something about it that is peculiar. Everybody knows that gold is a symbol of prosperity. So when we talk about the golden eagle, we are talking about prosperous eagle. The disciple is to be like a golden eagle, which means you are to prosper, whatever you want, you get it, because that is exactly the meaning of prosperity. It means whatever you want, anytime you want it, you will get it. God wants you as a disciple to prosper.
in 3 John verse 2, the Bible says,
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health even as thy soul prospereth”.
As a disciple God wants you to prosper. Whatever God wants for you, that is what will happen and without any doubt, you will prosper because it is already settled. The word of God says in Ps. 35:27
“Let them shout for joy and let them be glad that favour my righteous cause. Yea, let them say continually, the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant”.
God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servants. Now whatever is pleasing to God is also pleasing to me. It is pleasing to God that I prosper, believe me honestly, it is also pleasing to me that I prosper. SO if God says He will be happy if you prosper and you say you do not want to prosper, then in that case I think you need deliverance.
In Ps. 1:1-3 , the Bible tells us that a true disciple of Jesus Christ shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that bringeth forth its fruits in its season. Its leaf also shall not wither, whatsoever he doeth shall prosper:
God has already decreed it, that as a disciple you will prosper. Whether the devil likes it or not, so shall it be.
In Psalm 34:10, the word of God says,
“The young lion do lack and suffer hunger, but they that seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing”.
REASON WHY YOU MUST PROSPER
#1 The rich rules over the poor
God does not meant you to be poor and become a slave to the rich. Remember a king is supposed to be a ruler, an eagle is also a royalty, and a king rules. In Proverb 22:7 , the Bible says,
“The rich ruleth over the poor and the borrower is subject to the lender.”
Well if you say then you are a king, and you are a borrower, then we will begin to wonder. Are you actually a ruler? It is the rich that rules over the poor, that is why by the grace of God, i refuse to be poor.
If you make up your mind, and decree that you want to prosper, because a king rule by decrees, the moment you make that decree, the Almighty God is going to say Amen.
#2 Money is a defense
The Golden eagle is an eagle that nobody bothers to attack,. We will discover why later on. In fact all eagles have only one enemy and that is serpent. The serpent is the one that climbs to where they live. But then the eagle has a defense, and to you as an eagle, one defence that God is saying is available to you is money.
In Eccl. 7:12, the Bible says:
That is why you must not be poor and that is why like the golden eagle, prosperity must be part and parcel of your life.
There is also something else about the colour of gold, it is also the colour of the sun, and there is something about the sun, it is beautiful, it is pure and it is heavenly. You do not want to look at it for two long. In the same manner, God wants his disciples to be full of His glory so that when people look at them for a while, they will be compelled to take their eyes off, because the glory of God in their lives will be dazzling.
In Judges 5:31 , the Bible says,
“So let all thy enemies perish O Lord, but let them that love him be as the sun, which goeth forth in its might”.
The Lord want every disciple to be like the sun that is going forth in its strenth. He wants you to be as powerful as the sun, beautiful, pure, golden and heavenly. He wants everything about you to be just glorious. You knew why the streets of heaven are gold, why every mansion is built with gold, the very ground is gold? It is because there is something about gold that is pure, beautiful and glorious.
In Malachi 3:3 , God says He is to purify the sons of Levi like silver and gold. He said when He is purifying His servants , He will not stop until they become as pure as gold. So we see that there is something beautiful about gold.
But then does that mean we should be wearing gold? Why should we be putting on ourselves that which we are supposed to walk on? We are to walk on gold, it is not to walk on us. That is why you must decree poverty out of your life. That is why you must decree that prosperity must become the common thing in your abode. That is why you must decree that the angels of the Lord must go to the east, the west, the north and the south and bring your blessings. You are not only a royal eagle, you are are a golden eagle too. You are not only powerful, not only a king, not only are you to rule by decrees, you are also to be prosperous.
SO why dont you spend some time even straight away now?
Go and agree with God that prosperity is pleasing to you, that prosperity is distasteful to you.And then decree poverty out of your life and decree prosperity into your life. And it shall be so in Jesus name.
