The Disciple’s Mode Of Prayer. Part Four. RCCG SOD Year Two

 

There are various names of the Lord. When you go before him in worship and call him these names, whatever you want can happen. 

 

#1 Jehovah Tsidkenu

God our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:5-6; 1 Cor. 1:30; 20, 1 Cor. 5:21).

 

When you call God Jehovah Tsidkenu, you are thanking him for your own salvation.

 

You just remember how God set you free and desire to thank Him for saving you. You can also call this name when you are burdened about the salvation of loved ones yet to be saved. 

 

#2 Jehovah Nkadesh

This means the Lord that sanctifies (Leviticus 20:7-8). This is the name you call when you desperately want to live above sin always. When you see yourself rising and falling into sin after making resolutions that you will never sin again. 

 

#3 Jehovah Shalom

The Lord our Peace (John 6:23-24; Isaiah 53:3; Psalm 119:165; John 14:27; Phil. 4:4-7).When you call him Jehovah Shalom, you are call Him to still the storm in your life.

You are calling Him to cause peace into a troubled situation and He will answer. You can also call Jehovah Shalom when you remember how He stilled a particular storm in your life, and you appreciate Him.

 

#4 Jehovah Shammah

The Lord who is ever present. (Ezekiel 48:35; Joshua 12:9; Mathew 28:18-20; Hebrew 134:5-6; Hebrew 4:16). We use this name in the time of danger; when we are seeking security. He will come and help;

 

He is the ever present help in the time of trouble. You may call this name when you suddenly remember how he helped you in time past, ow you escaped death. You may want to thank Him for it and call him Jehovah Shammah.

 

#5 Jehovah Rapha 

The Lord that healeth, the Great Physician. (Exodus 15:26; Isaiah 53:5;1 Peter 2:24). This is the name you call when you need healing or while thanking Him for healing. The Lord my Doctor, my healer, my Great Physician.

 

#6 Jehovah Raah

The Lord my Shepherd (Psalm 23:1; Matt. 6:25-33; Phil. 4:19).

 

This is the name you call when He has met your needs or when you want Him to meet your needs. 

 

Romans 8:31-33 . This is the name you call when you want all your needs to be met or when he met all your needs and you need to bless Him for it.
