Devotion: Walk in love
1 John4:7-8 “Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God. The person who does not love does not know God, because God is love.”
The scripture above doesn’t say God has love but rather God is love.Love is the very nature of God and we his children were born out of this love. We are the children of love. We therefore need to love one another.
Love is greater than faith and hope. 1 Cor 13:13 “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.”
When you walk in love you don’t fear anything. Love drives out fear.Love can’t be punished or tormented by fear. Isn’t that wonderful.
1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears punishment has not been perfected in love.”
Jesus came and influenced the World because of love( John 3:16). You can influence your world by love. Nobody does not want to be loved.
Love has a language. One of the language of love is giving. The one you love, you give. In John 3:16 when God loved the earth, He gave. You love and therefore you give.
Confession
I am operating in love and winning in everything I do. All my fear is gone because of love. I walk in the steps of my Father who is Love. I am born of love of God and will express love to everyone. In Jesus name. Amen
