6 Reasons Why Satisfied Customers Move to Competitors
In my last two articles, I have been engrossed in a controversy. I have been attacking satisfied and loyal customers. I have been saying that satisfied customers might not be satisfied after all all and loyal customers might not be truly loyal after all. Here are some of the reasons why satisfied customers move to competitors.
Why Satisfied Customers Move to Other Businesses
Many businesses think that if customers are happy, they will stay forever. But sometimes, even satisfied customers leave. Here are some reasons why that happens:
#1 Better Prices Elsewhere
There is one thing that is very common to majority of people. They want quality product and services. Nobody likes to be cheated. If your so called satisfied customers find cheaper and better product somewhere else, they are likely to leave you for your competitors.
#2 New Options
There is also one factor that you need to consider. Most customers always like to try new things. Most customers will always want the organisation to innovate and try new things. If you are not innovating and you have loyal customers. They might leave when they see new offers.
#3 Poor Customer Service
There are many organisations that have quality products and services but they lack manners when it comes to attending to and dealing with customers. They are always foot dragging when customers has complaints. These has made them to loose several customers. Bad customer service can force customers to move to competitors.
#4 Convenience
There are many organisations that provides quality products and services but it is very difficult for customers to access such products and services. This might be due to lack of online presence or inability to open branches that are closer to their target audience. This can force customers to move to competitors.
5. Lack of Personal Touch
Customers are very special and they always love to be treated like CEOs. Customers expects that you should know their choice when it comes to your products and services. You have to take time to understand their preferences and handle their complaints with prompt attention. If that is not happening, they can move to your competitors.
#6 Innovation
Customers love new innovations and technologies. They expect that organisations will always leverage on new technologies in order to serve customers better. If an organisation feels that there is no need to innovate because they already have a loyal and satisfied customers base, they might lose customers if a relatively new organisation comes up with new ideologies.
Conclusion
We need to understand that customers are looking for better deals and they always want to get value for their hard earned money. Organisations should not give up. They should always look for better ways of innovating and doing business from customers perspective.
It’s time to take action.
