To rejoice at Thy birth.

Thy friend friendship suits me well,
Both young and will sing Thy song,

Christ was Thy first teacher,
The Holy Spirit, great teacher,
Does manifest in thee.

This testimony is sure,
That God, the Father Almighty,
Poured His blessing on Thee

5. O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day,
Though the sun be so bright,
Or if the clouds be black with rain,
I’ll be in Sunday School.

6. O Sunday School, on the Lord’s day
I rejoice to see Thee,
Will thou pass over me today?
Without my being blest?
OPENING PRAYER: Father, please save
our generation from the snare of false teach-
ers and their heresies.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The teacher should allow the Assistant Teacher to review the previous week’s lesson.

BIBLE PASSAGE: MATTHEW 7:15-20.

[15]Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

[16]Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?

[17]Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.

[18]A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

[19]Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

[20]Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

MEMORY VERSE: “But there were false
prophets also among the people, even as
there shall be false teachers among you,
who privily shall bring in damnable heresies,
even denying the Lord that bought them,
and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” 2Peter 2:1.
