Justification. RCCG House Fellowship Manual

OPENING PRAYER: Father, help all believers to embrace the price Jesus paid.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leaders should remind members of the need to restitute.

MEMORY VERSE: “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” – Romans 5:1

BIBLE TEXT: Romans 5:1-21 (KJV)

1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.

6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly.

7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die.

8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

9 Much more than, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.

11 And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.

14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.

15 But not as the offence, so also is the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.

16 And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offences unto justification.

17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one, the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.

19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:

21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so, might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: To be justified means to be absolved and declared free of blame or sin. It is more than forgiveness. The perfection of God’s law and its justice demands necessitates the provision of the solution in Jesus Christ who volunteered to live a righteous life and die a sinners death so that His own righteousness could then be imputed as a gift to everyone who believes in Him.

LEADER’S DIARY.

A. LESSON AIM: To have an unalloyed understanding of how to be justified and the blessings attached to it.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Know blessings enclosed in living a justified life.
ii. Know the evidence to show that one is justified.

TEXT REVIEW: ROMANS 5:1-21

i. Justification by faith guarantees access to peace with God.
ii. Christ’s love for the world made Him sacrifice Himself for our sins.
iii. There is the provision of an abundance of grace and gift of righteousness through the offering of Christ Jesus.
iv. Through the obedience of Christ to die, we were made righteous.

TEACHING METHOD: The leader should use the lecture method.

TIME MANAGEMENT: Share the teaching time, and use the suggested time schedule.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: JUSTIFICATION PACKAGE AND HOW TO OBTAIN IT.

Two major things are included in the justification:

  1. The sin of the offender is forgiven, and the guilt and punishment of that sin is removed from the sinner. Micah 7:18-19.
  2. The righteousness of Jesus Christ is imputed to the sinner’s account through faith in Jesus. Romans 3:22.

JUSTIFICATION CAN ONLY BE SOURCED IN GOD, ROMANS 8:33. HE GIVES IT
A. By grace. Romans 3:24

B. By the blood of Jesus Christ
C. By the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Romans 4:25. We can therefore say that it is Jesus Christ that makes justification.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: ASSURANCES OF JUSTIFICATION

To receive justification, you must believe that the Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died for your sin on the cross, Galatians 1:6. Then cry to the Lord for mercy Luke 8:13-14. The conviction of your justification shall be evidenced by the following:

A. Your works, James 2:21-26. Our righteous life is made manifest by good works.
B. You will have peace with God, Romans 5:1.
C. You will have access to God, Romans 5:2. Praying and relating with God will become a joyful thing.

ACTIVITY: What are gains received through the price Christ paid at Calvary?

SUMMARY: Through Christ’s pains, we gain divine placement.

CONCLUSION: Are you already justified? Your prayer life is one of the strong indicators if you have one, If you have not been justified, there is an opportunity for you today to do so.

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, thank You for the complete work of my justification.
  2. Father, please revive me in doing good works.
  3. Father, please silence every whisper that tends to condemn me within my heart.
  4. Father, please increase my closeness with You through my prayer life.
  5. Father, please help all our House Fellowship Leaders and Members to live and enjoy the benefits of their justification in Jesus Christ.
  6. Father, we pray in Jesus’ Name that everyone in RCCG shall live a life of justification to enjoy resurrection unto life on the last day.

Abuse Of Phones And ICT By The Youth. RCCG House Fellowship Manual

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please don’t let us be lured into eternal condemnation by the devil’s antics.

10 For if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol’s temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols;
11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, for whom Christ died?
12 But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound there weak conscience, ye sin against Christ.

LESSON INTRODUCTION

When the purpose is not known, abuse is inevitable.’ What is abuse? Abuse is the improper usage or treatment of a thing, often to unfairly or improperly gain benefit. Abuse can come in diverse ways like physical, emotional, mental etc.. But our concern is based on today’s topic: How can a Christian youth abuse the use of phones and ICT?
When mobile phones that are supposed to bring God’s blessing to the individual now become a source of distraction and addiction such that it has taken the place of God even during sermons, the majority of our youth go to social media for chatting, and browsing etc. Many of them have attracted God’s curses because of their disregard for God.
This is abuse.
LEADERS DIARY:
LESSON AIM: To inculcate in the life of our youth the right usage of phones and ICT.
TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, youth/members should be able to:
i. Expressly point out phones / ICT abuse to our youth.
ii. And reasonably bring out the right way of using phones / ICT.

TEXT REVIEW: 1 Corinthians 8:9-12

i. We should not allow our liberty in Christ to become a stumbling block to both the weak believers and the unbelievers.

ii. Whatever God has given to us, must be handled for the edification of our brothers and sisters to the glory of God.
TEACHING METHOD: The leader should use the interactive / discussion method.
TIME MANAGEMENT: Share the teaching time using the suggested time schedule.
LESSON OUTLINES: There is one outline:

A: MOSES ROD AS A CASE STUDY OF AN ABUSE:

We should examine this step by step:

Step one: Exodus 4:2-4 – The ordinary rod in the hand of Moses before, now became a miraculous rod because Moses was on a mission for God.
Step two: The rod swallowed all the magicians’ serpents in Pharaoh’s place. – Exodus 7:9-12
Step three: The rod parted the Red Sea. – Exodus 14:16
Step four: Exodus 17:5-6 – The rod was used to smite the rock for water.
Step five: Numbers 20:8-11 – God instructed Moses to use the rod and speak to the rock for water again.
Step six: Moses did not enter the promised land because he did not use the rod in the manner he was told to. – Numbers 20:12
ACTIVITY: How can somebody abuse his / her phone / ICT?

SUMMARY: Please be wise.
CONCLUSION: Youth, please beware! The same gadget you are playing with can become a link that may lure you to hell. Quite a number of youth are regular visitors to pornographic sites and many have become addicted to them. Laptops are designed for positive things and not for internet frauds. Moderation or self-control is needed in the use of phones and ICT (internet). So you are enjoined to use them ONLY for GOD’S GLORY.
PRAYER POINTS:

  1. Father, thank You for Your word of correction.
  2. Father, please give our youth a listening ear always.
  3. Father, please anoint Daddy G.O. and Mummy G.O. more than before.
  4. Father, destroy every plan of the devil to recruit our youth through abuse of phones and ICT (internet).
  5. My phone, internet and ICT hear the word of God. You will not send me to hell in Jesus’ name.

The Fruit Of The Spirit. RCCG House Fellowship Manual

OPENING PRAYER: Father, cause my life to radiate Your glory.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: Leaders should remind members, that the only source and giver of life is the Holy Spirit.

MEMORY VERSE: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” – Galatians 5:16

BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:13-24 (KJV)

13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,

20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies,

21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,

23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: We will be focusing on how to produce the fruit of the Holy Spirit as Christians. We receive the Holy Spirit at the point of salvation accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour (Ephesians 1:13-14). Therefore, it is impossible to grow the spirit if you do not belong to Christ.

TEXT REVIEW: GALATIANS 5:19-24

i. The breath of God makes grave to be opened and captives delivered.
ii. The Spirit of God brings quickening from deadness to life.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE:

WHAT IS THE FRUIT?

Galatians 5:22-23 – enumerates the fruit as: Love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, gentleness, longsuffering, faithfulness, and self-control. They are all Christ-like virtues that we are supposed to exhibit in increasing measures as we relate with God and the people around us – family, work, church, neighbourhood, in public etc. They are not somewhere we put on and put off when we like or not.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO

HOW TO GROW THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT?

  1. Acknowledge and renounce old sin tendencies through prayers and obedience to the word of God. Proverbs 28:13
  2. Know the fruit of the Spirit and pray earnestly for God to help you begin to manifest them.
  3. Look for opportunities to practice them trusting the Holy Spirit to prompt you.
  4. Expect God to use your life relationships and experiences to grow these fruits in you as you cooperate with Him.
  5. Patiently watch them develop, just like what happens to a seed that needs time to grow and mature. 2 Peter 3:18.

ACTIVITY: Ask members whether they are manifesting these fruits.

SUMMARY: If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

CONCLUSION: Have you any gift? Have you been using them? Are they lost and you want to regain them? Or you want more? Why not talk to God about it?

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Father, please create in me a contrite heart that can grow Your fruit.
  2. Father, set my life on fire and destroy every manifestation of the flesh.
  3. Father, help me to grow in love, faith, joy, peace and goodness etc.

Dating. The Christian Perspective. RCCG Sunday School Teachers

Opening Prayer: Father, please help me to make you my standard.

Previous Knowledge: The teacher should allow the assistant teacher to review the lesson for the previous week.

Bible Passage: Gen. 29:16-20.

Memory Verse: “Marriage is honourable among all, and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”– Hebrews 13:4.

LESSON INTRODUCTION

The world today puts so much pressure on youths when it comes to what they prefer to call dating. The world tells us to date now and date often and date a lot of different people so we do not “miss out” on any of life’s experiences. God has a different plan for his sons and daughters. He has a higher standard for us too, one which we, as Christ followers, should strive to reach even if it goes against the world’s standards and expectations. God wants to lead us into proper courtship.

LESSON AIM: To Teach Christians/Youths the Christians’ perspective of dating.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of this lesson, students should have learnt:

a. The meaning of dating.

b. The biblical principles concerning dating.

c. Importance of finding their fulfilment in Christ.

TEACHING PLAN: To achieve the above-mentioned objectives, teachers should:

a. Allow the students to recite the memory verse, read the Bible passage, contribute to the discussion, and do class activities and assignments.

b. Allow the Assistant Teacher to see to the well-being of the class, and mark attendance and assignment.

c. Teach the lesson outlines, summarise, conclude, evaluate the lesson and give assignments to the students.

TEXT REVIEW: Genesis 29:16-20.

In this passage:

A. Laban had two daughters…………………………………… and ……………………………….. v16.

B. Leah’s eyes…………………………………………….v17.

Jacob: i……………………………………………………..v18a.

ii…………………………………………………v18b.

D. Laban……………………………………………..v19.

Jacob served Laban for ……………………………….v20a.

The year seemed like a few days because…………………………………v20b.

Teaching Method: Discussion Method.

Time Management: The teacher should apply a two-lesson outline teaching time.

LESSON OUTLINE 1: DESCRIPTION AND IMPLICATION

The teacher should ask the class to discuss the meaning of dating among the youth and guide the class through the following:

A. The meaning of dating.

i. Dating is a form of romantic relationship typically between two individuals of the opposite sex with the aim of assessing each other’s suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as a spouse.

ii. Literally, it means going out with someone of the opposite sex.

iii. Dating and courtship are two methods of beginning a relationship with the opposite sex (Gen. 29: 18-20). It should be noted that the result of dating may lead to friendship, intimate relationship (courtship), marriage or no relationship.
B. While there are non-Christians who date with the intention of having a series of intimate relationships, for Christians this is not acceptable and should never be the reason for dating (Romans 12:2; 1 Cor. 6: 18-20).

C. Biblical standpoint: While we may not be able to completely close our eyes to this societal trend, Christian youths should see dating as:

i. A little more than friendship and maintain the friendship aspect of their dating until both people are ready to commit to each other as potential marriage partners.

ii. Dating should be a time when a Christian finds out if his or her potential partner is also a genuine believer in Christ before making a commitment of a relationship (courtship) that could lead to marriage.

iii. During this time, there should be no sexual relation and closeness that could trigger emotions, as this is something that should wait until marriage (Heb. 13:4).

iv. The Christian dating couple must have boundaries and be committed to not crossing them. Dating (as well as marriage) should not be between a believer and a non-believer (2 Cor. 6:14-15).

CLASS ACTIVITY 1: Students should discuss why youths defile themselves in the process of dating.

LESSON OUTLINE 2: FULFILMENT IN CHRIST FIRST

Teachers should allow the youths to discuss why finding fulfilment in Christ is important.

Important of finding fulfilment in Christ.

i. In order to be in a God-centred romantic relationship in some years to come, you must first find your personal fulfilment in Christ.

ii. The stronger your faith in God, the better you will be able to love another person.

iii. God is a jealous God (Ex. 34:14) and until you have a relationship with God that is above everything and anyone else, you will likely have someone who is more important to you than God.

iv. It is vital that God is first in your life (Matt. 22:37-39).

v. He needs to be the one you run to when you are lonely, bored, sad etc. No friend (especially the opposite sex) can always be there for you like God can.

vi. People are never meant to take God’s place in our lives and hearts.

vii. God has to be everything to you prior to getting into a God-honouring relationship (with marriage in view).

viii. As you wait patiently on God and diligently do his will, He graciously gives you the best match as a spouse.

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Students should discuss how youth can find fulfilment in Christ.

SUMMARY: While it is not out of place for a Christian to date, it is important to beware of some of the ungodly, underlying factors in dating and seek fulfilment in Christ first.

CONCLUSION: It is important that a believer finds fulfilment in Christ first before entrusting his/her life into the hand of the opposite sex.

EVALUATION: The teacher should ask students to describe dating from a Christian perspective.

CLOSING PRAYER: Father, help me to find fulfilment in You first.

ASSIGNMENT: Mention five (5) of the dangers of dating from the world’s perspective. (2×5=10 Marks).

LESSON OUTLINE 1: DESCRIPTION AND CONSEQUENCES

The teacher should allow the youth to bear their mind on the subject of cultism and guide the class through the following:

A. Description of Cultism

i. A cult is a group of people who have extreme beliefs and ideas which only members have access to.

ii. Cultism is an association or organisation of people whose membership, initiation, policies and activities are done secretly.

iii. The activities are carried out at odd hours of the day and are at variance with the accepted norms of society.
iv. Cultism cuts across all spectra of society. However, the youths are the most vulnerable.

v. Occultic groups use signs and symbols such as green ribbons on berets, crossbones, human skull, axes and so on. They usually adopt some handgrip as means of mutual recognition among the member.

B. Consequences of Cultism

i. Although the benefits promised members of secret cults may be enticing, the reality is that cultism is ‘suicidal’.

ii. It leads to fear, insecurity, failure, shedding of innocent blood, and destruction of lives, destinies and properties.

iii. When caught, it gives bad names to the family.

iv. Cultism attracts God’s punishment and causes spiritual death and loss of eternal life among others (Romans 1:18; Col. 3:5-6).

C. A Child OF God must not allow anything or anyone to turn him or her into joining a cult group (Ps. 1:1).

D. Just like fornication. and all uncleanliness or covetousness. cultism should not be named at all among believers. (Eph. 5:3).

CLASS ACTIVITY 1: Students should discuss the impact of cultism on the youth.

LESSON OUTLINE 2: ACTIVITIES AND PRECAUTIONS

A. Scripture warns us against fellowshipping with them (Eph. 5:11). because their activities have negative effects on both members and non-members.

Teachers should allow the students to mention some of the activities of cultists.

a. The activities of these cults take various destructive forms which include:

i. Consumption of alcohol and hard drugs that tend to give false courage.

ii. Stealing, Violent behaviours, killing, use of guns and dangerous weapons, torture, sexual harassment, stripping to the pants and flogging.

iii. Making destructive cult marks on the bodies of new members with red hot swords during initiation (Romans  3:15-18).

b. Regardless of the motives for setting up or joining a cult group, it is shameful to imagine the evil they perpetrate and the destruction they cause to themselves and their victims (Eph. 5:12; Romans 6:21).

B. To avoid being lured into cultism, a Christian must take the following precautions:

  1. Stand firm on your faith and do not allow situations or circumstances to dictate your position in Christ. This can lead one into bondage (Gal. 5:1).
  2. Dissociate yourself from friends, class/course/roommates, family members etc whose ways of life are suspicious. Let them know your stand in the Lord (Prov. 1:10; 1 Cor. 15:33).
  3. Let your fellowship with God and the brethren be strong (Matt. 22:37-39). Spend your spare time with godly people (Heb. 10:25).
  4. Avoid misrepresentation of your person. Let people see you as a genuine child of God in your mode of dressing, use of language/slang, gesture etc (2 Cot. 6:17-18).

C. If you are already a cultist, you must be ready to cut ties with the group and believe that Jesus can save you. It is important to seek counsel from a matured Christian. You must confess your sins, renounce your membership and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:9-13; Prov. 24:6).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Students should discuss other ways that youths can steer clear of cultism.

SUMMARY: Cultism is evil and has grave consequences. Youths should beware of the activities of cultists and take necessary precautions in other not to be a victim.

CONCLUSION: Shun cultism. It only leads to the destruction of lives and destinies.

EVALUATION: How can a Christian avoid being lured into cultism?

CLOSING PRAYER: Father, guide me against every appearance and activity of cultism.

ASSIGNMENT: Mention five (5) consequences of cultism (2×5=10Marks).

Gifts Of The Holy Spirit.

OPENING PRAYER: Father, please endow me with the gifts of the Holy Spirit.

PREVIOUS KNOWLEDGE: The leader should ask members to mention the fruit of the Spirit learnt in the previous lesson.

MEMORY VERSE: “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.” – James 1:17

BIBLE TEXT: Galatians 5:13-24 (KJV)

1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord but by the Holy Ghost.

4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

14 For the body is not one member, but many.

15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?

17 If the whole body were an eye, where were the hearing? If the whole were hearing, where were the smelling?

18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.

19 And if they were all one member, where were the body?

20 But now are they many members, yet but one body.

21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.

LESSON INTRODUCTION: There is a lot of difference between natural talents and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Holy Spirit are special gifts given by the Spirit to believers to equip them for the work of the ministry and build up the body of Christ and God’s Kingdoms. There are many of these gifts and they are all available today as in the time of the Apostles.

LESSON AIM: To have deeper understanding of the gifts of Holy Spirit.

TEACHING OBJECTIVES: At the end of the lesson, members should be able to:
i. Know what the gifts of the Holy Spirit entails.
ii. Know new abilities receive when we deplore the gifts into use.
TEXT REVIEW: 1 CORINTHIANS 12:1-21.
i. The manifestation of the Spirit is to help the Church to progress.
ii. The distribution of those gifts is done by the Holy Spirit.
iii. Holy Spirit decides which gift each person should have.
iv. God works in our lives in different ways and different time.

LESSON OUTLINE ONE: HOW MANY KINDS OF GIFTS ARE THERE?

There are various kinds of gifts of the Holy Spirit. 1 Corinthians 12:8-10 lists some of them as the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, and interpretation of tongues. This list consists of nine gifts. According to Ephesians 4:11, ministerial gifts were mentioned, Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers, all these are to be used to equip the body of Christ and for the perfection of the saints. Ephesians 4:12.

LESSON OUTLINE TWO: SHOULD WE DESIRE THE GIFTS?

The answer is given in 1 Corinthians 12:31. We are not just to desire them; we are to covet them. This is only covetousness that have divine blessing. Do not be satisfied with just one or two gifts. Seek and pray for others that will help you in the particular position He has given you in the body. In the parable of the talents, the man who was originally given five gained five more and the unused one was given to him as extra. He ended up with eleven talents. Initially, you may have one or two gifts. Try and identify them and then keep on seeking for more to use for His glory.

LESSON OUTLINE THREE: WHAT SHOULD BE DONE WITH THE GIFTS?

We are to use any gift given to us, 1 Timothy 4:14, some people hide their gifts because they consider them inferior to others. This can be very dangerous as the parable of talents shows. Not only, are we to use the gifts, we are also to improve on them, 2 Timothy 1:6. The gifts need constant usage to be advantageous to the Kingdom of God.

ACTIVITY: What do you understand by gifts of words of knowledge and wisdom.

CONCLUSION: Have you any gift? Have you been using them? Are they lost or you want to regain them? Or you want more? Why not talk to God about it.

PRAYER POINTS:

  1. Father, thank You because all good gifts are from You.
  2. Father, I need the gifts of the Holy Spirit. Please, pour them into my life.
  3. O Lord, help us in RCCG and the entire body of Christ to utilise our gifts appropriately.
  4. Pray for the growth of RCCG numerically, spiritually and materially.
  5. Father, I shall not loose my gifts.
