Worship As A Mode of Prayer
A Disciple can do either of two things. He can glorify his Master or betray Him.
In John 15:26-27, the Bible says:
“But whe
n the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the spirit of truth, who proceedeth from the Father, he shall testify of me: And ye shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning”.
There are two of us who will be bearing witness concerning the Lord Jesus Christ; the Holy Spirit and those of us who are disciples.
The Holy Spirit can cause miracles to happen as a result of which glory will be given to Christ.
In John 16:13-14, Jesus had already said “He (The Holy Spirit) will glorify me”. You cannot cause miracles to occur. But you can voice right. You are not a miracle worker.
But the Holy Spirit is. You can use your voice aright by giving testimonies about the one who is performing the miracles.
In Acts 3, we see the story of a lame man by the gate called beautiful. This lame man was supernaturally healed. People began to look at Peter and John as if they were miracle workers. But Perter answered and said in Acts 3:12: Peter said:
“Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel , that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth , whom ye crucified , whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. Neither is there salvation in any other. for there is non other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”.
It was the Holy Spirit who performed the miracle and Peter used his mouth to glorify Jesus. The Holy Spirit can perform miracles that will bring glory to Jesus.
You cannot perform miracle but, you can testify and tell anyone that Jesus is great; that anything can happen when they call His name.
Glorifying the master, during worship , exposes how much of Him you know, how much of his names you know, what you do not know about His history, what do you know about His acts.
God and His Names
He has so many names and each name has a meaning, purpose4 and links Him to something. He has the following names:

We know better; we disciples know that Jesus is worthy to be praised. We know His Power, according to Matthew 8:23-27 and Luke 24:19. We disciples , have known Him. We have seen Him raise the dead, cleanse the leper etc.
Many of us have seen His glory, the
disciple followed Him to the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 16:1-2). The disciples knows that he or she is not worthy to be called a disciple of somebody as great as Jesus Christ. In Luke 5:4-8, Peter said to the Lord, “Please depart from me. I am a sinful man, I cant be near somebody as great as you”.
For those of us who know that we qualified to he chief among the sinners and now we are numbered among the saints, why should we not praise the Lord and worship Him with tears in our eyes? In Colossians 1:12, the Bible says:
“Giving thanks unto the Father , which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints..”.
Our Master, whose disciples we are, has made us partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light. We partakers should worship Him, even if it is only for that reason.
The saints who are in heaven, who can never sin again, realize that they are unworthy to be in heaven and to have crowns to wear and they show it.
Each time they want to worship God , they show that they are unworthy of what He has done for them. How much more are we , completely unworthy of the mercy and goodness of the Almighty ? In Revelation 4:9-11, the Bible says:
“And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever, The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne , saying , Thou art worthy , O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hath created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created”.
The disciple should worship God with all his heart, knowing that he is not even worthy to be called a saint or a disciple. It is only by the grace of our Leader that we are what we are today,
Worship and thank Him for your salvation and for making you a saint.
