The Disciple’s Mode Of Prayer. Part Three. RCCG SOD Year 2.

Posted on August 18, 2024June 27, 2025 by Adeniyi Salau

There are two principal ways by which one can use worship as a weapon of warfare.

  1. By calling the Lord’s name appropriately.
  2. By recalling what He has done fo0r you.

Names are associated with meanings. God holds names as very important (Genesis 17:5-6; 15; 32:26-28). In Malachi 1:11, God honours His names and desires that His names be worshipped.

God that is more than enough , more than anything you can need; the Almighty (Genesis 17:1). Because of the power in that name, we must praise him until He comes. When the storm is contrary, when you face the impossible, He is always around to help.

#2 Jehovah Jireh

Genesis 22:14- The Lord that provides. You cant know Him by that name until you are in a tight situation. When you have to lift up  your head to the mountain of our God.

The mountain of no wanting, you cannot know more about the greatness of God, God is always nearer than we think.

When you are in need of supernatural provision, look unto Jehovah Jireh. (Hebrew 2:10, Luke 10:17; 1 Corinthians 2:14; Philippians 4:13).

#3 Jehovah Nissi

God our banner- Exodus 17:16, It means God is our Champion; you cannot win a battle without a captain. When we give Jesus the right place in our lives, we are ready for battle.

There are some hands today that God wants to  honour like in the days of Moses (Philippians 4:13). When you need victory in trouble , remember Him who is our champion and banner.

When we call God His right name. He will do whatever we ask of Him.

God attaches importance to names. To show this, He changed the names of those He loved. For example , Abram was changed to Abraham, Sarai to Sarah, Jacob to Israel, Simeon to Peter etc.
