OPENING PRAYER: Father, please let me not be a stumbling block to others in the faith.
BIBLE PASSAGE: Proverbs 7:4-27
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.

6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)
13 So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him,
14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I paid my vows.
15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee.
16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt.
17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon.
18 Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves.
19 For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey:
20 He hath taken a bag of money with him and will come home at the day appointed.
21 With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him.
22 He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks;
23 Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
24 Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
25 Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
26 For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
MEMORY VERSE: “It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak.” Romans 14:21 (NKJV).
LESSON INTRODUCTION
Seduction is the process of deliberately enticing a person to engage in a relationship or to lead astray from duty, morality and the like. Also, it could be an attempt to corrupt, persuade or induce into engaging in sexual behaviour that is enticing someone to desire to have sex with the other by doing things that make sex appealing and desirable. There is also a relationship between sexual seduction and dressing, of which every Christian youth must beware.

LESSON OUTLINES
LESSON OUTLINE 1: SOME SEDUCTIVE TOOLS
The teacher should allow the class to discuss some things that can trigger sexual desire, especially among youths. He should guide the class through the following points:
A. David committed adultery because he saw the nakedness of Bathsheba while she was bathing (2 Sam.11:1-4).
B. Sexual lust is induced when people who are promiscuous use nakedness to lure careless ones to unwholesome desires (Prov.7:10-13).
C. This is the same as using pornographic films, magazines or dresses to display acts and images which make people sexually excited (Job 31:1).
D. Some other tools that could be adopted for sexual seduction include fragrance, dance, body language, voice tone, etc. (Prov 7:12-15).
E. A true Christian must desist from all such things (1Thess.5:22).
i. It is a terrible offence before God to desire to see other people’s nakedness (Matt 5:28).
ii. Only insane people walk the streets naked without any feeling of shame because their understanding is darkened (Eph. 4:18)
CLASS ACTIVITY 1: Discuss how you have been or are being seduced.
LESSON OUTLINE 2: DRESS WITH CAUTION
The teacher should ask the class to discuss the purpose of dressing and teach the following:
A. When the purpose of a thing is unknown, abuse is inevitable.
B. God was the first to dress man when man was not ‘well dressed (Gen.3:7, 21).
C. The primary purpose of dress is to cover nakedness.
D. Some dresses that are only good for the bedrooms should not be worn on the streets.
E. Commercial sex workers are known for certain dressing styles to boost their trade.
F. Christian youths should not take to such forms of dressing in the name of modernisation (Prov.7:10). Because:
i. This has led to the harassment of many youths
ii. There is a strong relationship between what we see and what we think (James 1:14).
iii. Therefore, your dressing must not induce unrighteous thoughts in others (1 Cor. 14:40; Rom.14:21).
G. There is a two-fold responsibility on the dressing.
i. The man is responsible to guard his eyes against impurity (Phil 4:8; Job 31:1);
ii. The woman is responsible to dress decently and avoiding exposing sensitive parts of her body (Prov.7:6-27; 2Sam.11:2).
iii. This principle is also applicable in reversed order.
CLASS ACTIVITY 2: The class should discuss what constitutes indecent dressing among youths and the reasons for such action.
SUMMARY: Youths should not allow themselves to be caught in the web of seduction or by an agent, especially through the indecent dressing.
CONCLUSION: Any form of dressing likely to excite people sexually should not be worn by Christian youth, especially in public places (Phil.4:5; 1 Cor.8:13).
EVALUATION: The teacher should ask the students to mention some tools used for sexual seduction.
CLOSING PRAYER: Father, please help me in the fight against sexual seductions and shield me against sexual seductions.
ASSIGNMENT: Mention the names of five (5) of contemporary dressing styles that can provoke seduction.
