Self-Cleansing. RCCG Sunday School Manual. 29/07/2023

TOPIC: Self-Cleansing

MEMORY VERSE: “Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” – 2 Corinthians 7:1

BIBLE PASSAGE: Hebrews 10:19-23 (KJV)

19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;

21 And having an high priest over the house of God;

22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)

LESSON INTRODUCTION: God’s desire is that His. people will be clean outwardly and inwardly (Zechariah 3:4). He loves those whose hearts and lives are perfect towards Him and has made adequate provision for their all-round cleansing (Hebrews 10:22). In Psalm 51:7 David prayed for God’s cleansing. We also have a crucial role to play in this matter. Therefore, we need to examine the issue of self-cleansing carefully.

LESSON OUTLINES

  1. WHAT IS SELF-CLEANSING?
  2. HOW CAN A MAN CLEANSE HIMSELF?

1. WHAT IS SELF-CLEANSING?

Self-cleansing is a conscious and decisive effort put in by man to purge himself of all filthiness (2 Corinthians 7:1) to become whole and acceptable to God, through the help of the Holy Spirit. It involves the thorough sanitation of a life whose filth has been revealed through the mirror of God’s word (Isaiah 6:5). It is a renewal of one’s mind (Romans 12:2). It is putting away evil deeds (Isaiah 1:16), the wickedness of the heart and impure thoughts (Jeremiah 4:14). It is giving no room for sin in one’s life (Romans 6:12-13). It is putting off the old man with his deeds (Ephesians 4:22; Colossians 3:9) and putting on the new man in all righteousness after the image of Christ (Ephesians 4:24; Colossians 3:10).

Self-cleansing makes us honourable and useful vessels – 2 Timothy 2:21. It is essential for those that have the hope of eternal life with Jesus – 1 John 3:3. It provides a platform to appear before God blameless and to obtain answers to prayers – Hebrews 10:22; Hebrews 4:6.

2. HOW CAN A MAN CLEANSE HIMSELF?

It is absolutely true that we are purged and cleansed through the shed blood of our Lord Jesus Christ (Hebrews 9:14,22). However, the Bible raises a fundamental question in Psalm 119:9, “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?

“The Bible also provides the answer, “…by taking heed thereto according to thy word.” Having identified the grey areas in your life, take heed’ to necessary adjustments and make changes to show that you fear God. Lay aside weights and besetting sins (Hebrews 12:1). Steer clear of the appearances of evil (1 Thessalonians 5:22). Wash thoroughly in the water of God’s word Ephesians 5:26; Ezekiel 36:25; Hebrews 10:22). Mortify (crush, degrade, kill) the deeds of the flesh (Romans 8:13; Colossians 3:5, 8-9) with the help of the Holy Spirit and draw near to God (James 4:8).

CONCLUSION: If you are indeed in Christ and His Spirit is in you, self-cleansing will not be an uphill task.

QUESTIONS:

  1. In your own words, describe self-cleansing.
  2. Is self-cleansing possible? How?

Monday: 2 Timothy 2:21 (KJV) – If a man, therefore, purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.

Tuesday: Hebrews 4:6 (KJV) – Seeing, therefore, it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

Wednesday: Isaiah 1:16 (KJV) – Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil;

Thursday: Revelation 7:14 (KJV) – And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

Friday: Malachi 3:3 (KJV) – And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

Saturday: Isaiah 1:18 (KJV) – Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Sunday: 1 John 3:3 (KJV) – And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure.

ASSIGNMENT: List five (5) things that can make a child of God unclean (2×5=10 Marks).

Cheating: A Shortcut To Destruction. AG Teen Manual .

Cheating : A Shortcut To Destruction. AG Teen Manual .

Text: Lev 6:1-7; 19:11: Prov 9:11-18; Matt 25:14-30; Mark 9:33-37; Luke 16:10-15

Key Verse: Matthew 25:21

“His mas ter replied, Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’ (NIV).

Today’s study deals with the difference between the world’s standards of success and the standards found in God’s kingdom. It’s easy to talk to students in a classroom setting about what they should do, but teens have seen and heard enough to know that some adults are willing to do anything to get ahead. If they’re taking their cues from society, your teens may have accepted the notion that cheating is not a big deal.

As you prepare for this study, search your own life. Are you honest in all your dealings even when you think no one is looking? And which standard of success are you gauging your life against-material acquisition or how daily you love and serve God and others? If your life wouldn’t serve as a prime example for students to follow, take some time this week to repent and ask God to help you adjust your basic values. Pay special attention to issues where right and wrong may not seem to be clearly defined.

The Basic Message:* Explain to students…

• WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA?

Cheating may seem like the easy path, but it’s really a shortcut to destruction.

• WHY DOES IT MATTER?

Cheating and dishonesty separate us from God and waste our talents and abilities.

• HOWDOILIVEIT?

Repent of any cheating, resolve to live a life of integrity, and commit to doing your best with what you have.

Activity Option:* WHAT’S IT WORTH?

Bring ten items of assorted values and place them where everyone can see them. Include a low-cost item that has great sentimental value. Give each student a sheet of paper and pen or pencil. Have them rank the items according to value (1 = highest value, 10 =lowest value). Discuss how each of us places different degrees of value on things. Point out your sentimental item and explain why it’s valuable to you.

Guide:

Explain that just as what we value differs from person to person, God values things that may not seem important to others. Wherever we are, the challenge for us is to value what God values.

Study Overview: Explain that today’s study considers…

• What constitutes cheating and why it’s a sin and the trouble it can cause.

• The process of repentance and making things right after cheating.

• How importance it is to use one’s God-given abilities and opportunities.

*>>Inform and Discuss*

a). Shortcut to Trouble

1. Read or ask a volunteer to read Prov 9:11-18. What perceived advantages do people see in cheating? What destructive or hurtful issues are involved in cheating?

*>>Guide:* Explain that although this passage seems to be dealing with issues other than classroom cheating, the principle still applies. Cheating, like sin, offers false promise. Itseems like an easy way to get something you want, but it’s actually a shortcut to destruction. Cheating ills potential, true learning, and a clear conscience.

2. Read or ask a volunteer to read Luke 16:10-12. What are some behaviours that cheating now could lead to later in life? [Hint: Although some students may not accept these correlations, dishonesty now will make it easier to cheat in order to get advancements at work or to be unfaithful in a marriage, etc.]

Guide:

Explain that the first time we cheat is usually hardest. After that, it gets easier, and we get trapped in patterns (of lack of integrity) we can’t escape. God wants us to do our best, but He doesn’t value any form of worldly success as highly as He values honesty, integrity, and hard work. We should never justify cheating (Luke 16:13-18).

3. Read or ask a volunteer to read Lev 6:1-7: 19:11. What should Christian do if they’ve cheated in a class they are still taking? [Hint: In addition to confessing to God, they should go to the teacher, admit what they’ve done, and face the consequences. They may also need to apologize to honest students and let friends know they will no longer cheat.

Note:

Cheating isn’t just a way to do well in school; it’s a sin that hurts others and separates us from God. It encompasses lying and stealing recognition from students who don’t cheat. It’s very likely that the primary reason for cheating is that many students feel pressured to make better grades. Even that doesn’t make cheating less sinful.

b). Degree of Opportunity

>>Guide: Explain that recognizing and faithfully applying our abilities is an important part of why we go to school. Whether the opportunities to use those abilities or talents seem many or few, it’s our responsibility to use them wisely. Sometimes, this means finding or creating opportunities.

• Read or ask a volunteer to read Matt 25: 19-25. Ask each student to think of one talent, gift, or ability God has given them. Then call on several students to describe how they have developed their talent and how they are using it. [Note:The equal commendation received by both the five-talent and two-talent servants shows that God doesn’t judge us by how gifted we are but by how well we use what we have.]

c) . Apply Yourself

Read or ask a volunteer to read Matt 25: 26-30. Ask students what happens to their skill level when they don’t practice (e.g., their sport, musical instrument, etc) for months. [Note: Even things that come easy with practice can become difficult if neglected. Skills not practiced or honed are either Iost or reduced.

Guide:

Explain that knowledge build on itself. The more we develop, the easier it is to get. Learning skills for one subject sharpens our minds and makes it easier to learn other areas. On the other hand, unexercised mind that relies on cheating to get good grades only grows dull and slow until even what has already been learned is lost.

d). God’s Grading System

Read or ask a volunteer to read Matt 9:33-37. How does Jesus’ definition of success (or how to be first) differ from the world’s? [Hint: The world emphasizes straight A’s, climbing the social ladder, and financial success. But God says to be first, one must be a servant. He grades us according to lasting values such as faithfulness, integrity, humility, and love. He helps us develop those in our lives through obedience and dependence on the power of His Spirit in us.

Guide:

Explain that we have value in God’s eye simply because we are His creations. This means we don’t have to run the world’s rat race, cheating and clawing our way to the top. Instead, we can relax in God’s grace and simply do our best for Him.

Involve Them: PEER POINTERS

Divide the students into small groups and assign each group a school subject (e.g., math, English, science, etc.). Ask them to come up with two or three tips, memorization methods or insights that would be helpful in that subject. Give each group a few minutes to prepare, and then have them take turns presenting their “cheater beaters.”

Inspire Them:

Remind students THE BASIC MESSAGE of this study (pg 27), explaining WHAT the Big ldea behind the study is; WHY it matters; and HOW we can live the lesson captured in this study.

Ministry Activity:

Take a few minutes to pray with students. Ask them to confess to God any sin of cheating, and commit to honesty in the future. Ask God to give the students a fresh start and grant them the grace to keep their commitment to honesty.

Invitation Option:

Also pray with students who need to experience a fresh start by accepting Jesus as the Forgiver of their sins and the Leader of their lives. Remind them that this decision is referred to as “being born again” (John 3:3-7) because a person’ sins are forgiven and he or she becomes a new person.

*>>Conclude* the study by reminding students that when God forgives sins, He no longer considers them. In fact, the Bible tells that He forgets them (Isa 43:25).

Teacher Hint: Ask Yourself…

1. Do students understand that cheating is sin?

2. Can they explain some of the effects of cheating both on those who cheat and those who don’t?

3. Do they have a clear understanding of the process of repentance, confession, and restitution as it relates to cheating?

4. Have they had opportunity to repent of any cheating, ask for God’s help, and commit to honesty in their educational endeavours?

During and after the lesson, each child will show that he/she understands the lesson by:
1. Repeating the memory verse correctly to one another.
2. Mentioning things God has done for him/her and ways to show thanks to God.
3. Praying and confessing his/her sins and thanking God for forgiveness.

*OUTLINE:

1. The People Read from the Word of God – Nehemiah 8:1-18.
2. The People Confess Their Sins – Nehemiah 9:1-10; 10:39.
3. The People Dedicate the Walls – Nehemiah 12: 27-43.

*INTRODUCTION:*
The people of Judah have gone back to their cities because the rebuilding of the wall and gates of Jerusalem had been completed and the people are happy. Their enemies can no longer attack them. Today we shall see how they dedicated the walls of Jerusalem, which they built. Their joy knew no bounds.
Now what about you? What do you do when you are happy, sing, shout, smile, scream, laugh, and jump up and down? When the people of Judah were happy that day they might have done all this, but in addition, they listened to the Word being read to them. They were sorry for their sins and confessed them. The joy of the Lord was indeed their strength.

*LESSON COMMENTARY*

1. The People Read from the Word of God – Nehemiah 8:1-18
Sometime after the completion of the wall, the people of Judah gathered together in the open square were men and women of all ages, that is, all who were old enough to understand the Word of God. They told Ezra to bring the book of the law and read to them. Ezra brought the book. All sat down on the ground. Ezra, himself, climbed a very high wooden platform where the people could see and hear him. Everyone was quiet. They were waiting to hear God’s Word.
Carefully, Ezra unrolled the Bible scroll. When he opened it, all the people stood up, Ezra thanked God for His Words. All the people bowed their heads and worshipped God with Ezra. Then Ezra read from the scroll. The people listened. Ezra read from morning till noon. Ezra’s helpers went among the people and helped them understand what was being read. Many of the people were sorry that they had disobeyed God in many ways. So they began to cry. Ezra and Nehemiah told the people not to cry. Rather they should eat and rejoice for the day was a special day to God.
The people stopped crying. They went back to their houses to eat and drink. They shared food and drink with others who didn’t have any. Everybody was happy. The next day the people came together and celebrated a great feast known as the Feast of Tabernacles. Over and again Ezra read God’s Word to the people.

2. The People Confess Their Sins – Nehemiah 9:1-10; 10:39
On the eight day of the feast, the people again showed their sorrow. According to the customs of that day, they wore clothes made of hair, put dirt on their heads and did not eat any food.

The people listened as the Word of God was read. All of them, including the priest and the Levites confessed their sins. They remembered God’s goodness and thanked Him for leading their ancestors out of slavery in Egypt. They thanked Him for protecting them.

The Levites continued to list the blessings that God gave to His people.
As the people of Israel in Jerusalem heard all these things that day, they became really sorry for their sins.

And to show God that they were truly sorry, they made several promises. Among other promises, they promised to obey all God’s commands, to give the best of their crops and fruits to the Lord.

3. The People Dedicate the Walls – Nehemiah 12:27-43.

The wall has been rebuilt. It is now celebration day. The people of Judah are excited and ready to dedicate the wall to God.

They made special plans for this. On the celebration day, people from villages all around Jerusalem came. Nehemiah quietened the people as they were noisy and told them to line up for a big parade.
The Levites came to the front to lead the parade because they were good singers. The priest followed and more Levites with musical instruments got into line.

A large crowd of people was part of the parade. These were divided into two groups. Ezra took one group and started marching to the left around the wall. It was a very big procession. As the groups passed each of the great gates, they gave thanks to God. They dedicated the wall to God.

At last, the two met each other again at one of the gates., Nehemiah and Ezra led the people into the Temple yard to offer sacrifices to God. There was great rejoicing among everybody men, women, and children.

LESSON INTRODUCTION

In the bid to make ends meet, falsehood is fast becoming the order of the day Just as there are Internet fraudsters i.e. scammers, quack practitioners. etc., there are some ‘ministers’ whose God is their belly (Philippians 3:18-19). Their false teaching/practices result in false churches which Jesus Himself called ‘the synagogue of Satan’ (Revelation 3:9). Believers must recognise false ministers and avoid becoming victims of their antics.

LESSON OUTLINES:

1. DESCRIPTION OF FALSE MINISTERS
2. AVOID BEING A VICTIM

1. DESCRIPTION OF FALSE MINISTERS

On the surface, it is difficult to spot a false minister because even Satan masquerades as an angel of light and his ministers’ cover-up as servants of righteousness (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). However, Jesus warned us that “false Christs and false prophets” will come and will attempt to deceive even God’s elect (Matthew 24:23-27).

Some of the ways by which the Bible describes false ministers can help true believers recognise them. False ministers deny the divinity, sacrifice and humanity of Christ (1 John 4:1-3). Even when they minister or pray in ‘Jesus’ name,’ their hearts are far away from God (Matthew 15:8). Such ministers corrupt the gospel for selfish interest or to justify their immoral lifestyles (Philippians 3:19; 2 Corinthians 2:17, Micah 3:11).

Some of these false ministers ‘called’ themselves into the ministry or sometimes derailed from God’s call to deceive gullible people (1 John 2:19). They do not preach the complete gospel (Bible doctrines) – Galatians 1:6-9, 2 Corinthian 11:4. They are not just false in their ministrations but also false in their living (Matthew 7:15-20). Some replace the preaching of the gospel with motivational talks and philosophies of men (Colossians 2:8).

There are those who cause divisions among brethren (Rom.16:17-18) while others are out to exploit unsuspecting members (Acts 20:29-30). They trivialise the matters of eternity, preach what people want to hear and hardly preach holiness, Heaven, hell, etc. (Isaiah 30:9-11, 2 Timothy 4:3-4). They usually perpetuate falsehood in the name of miracles (Matthew 24:24).

CLASS ACTIVITY 1: The class should discuss how the church can halt or repel the activities of false ministers.

2. AVOID BEING A VICTIM

Many people walk into the web of false ministers due to:

  1. Lack of knowledge (Isaiah 5:13, Hosea 4:6).
  2. Impatience (Psalm 27:14, Hebrews 10:36).
  3. Despair in the bid to get rich quick (1 Timothy 6:9-10)
  4. Anxiety about what the future holds.
  5. Quest to find answers to certain crucial life questions (1 Kings 22:6-8).

To avoid being a victim of false ministers, children of God should be watchful (Matthew 26:41), prayerful (James 5:16b), sober (1 Peter 5:8), patient (Luke 21:19), rooted in the word of God (Colossians 3:16), filled with the Spirit of God (Romans 8:6) and be able to discern the spirits in operation at every instance (1 John 4:1, Matthew 24:4-5). Anyone that is already a victim should retrace their steps back to Christ and cry for help (Matthew 11:28-30, Psalm 46:1).

CLASS ACTIVITY 2: Mention what should be done not to become a victim.

CONCLUSION: The best way to guard yourself against falsehood and false ministers is to know the truth (Jn.8:32). To spot a counterfeit, study the real thing.

QUESTIONS:

  1. How can false ministers be best described?
  2. Mention four (4) keys to entering falsehood.

FURTHER READINGS:

Monday: 2 Corinthians 4:1-6 (KJV)
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; 2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. 6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Tuesday: 2 Corinthians 11:1-4, 13-15 (KJV)
1 Would to God ye could bear with me a little in my folly: and indeed bear with me. 2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15: 13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. 14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. 15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Wednesday: Matthew 7:15-20 (KJV)
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? 17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. 18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. 19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. 20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Thursday: Galatians 1:6-9 (KJV)
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Friday: 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV)
3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

Saturday: 1 John 4:1-3 (KJV)
1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.

Sunday: 2 Corinthians 2:14-17 (KJV)
14 Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place. 15 For we are unto God a sweet savour of Christ, in them that are saved, and in them that perish: 16 To the one we are the savour of death unto death; and to the other the savour of life unto life. And who is sufficient for these things? 17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

ASSIGNMENT: Can a true minister of God become a false minister? Identify five (5) causes (2×5=10 Marks).

God’s Honour Roll. AG Sunday School Manual. 23/07/2023

Study 1: GOD’S HONOUR ROLL

Text: Prov 4:1-13; 9:9-10; Dan 1:1-20; Col 3:23-24

Key Verse: Proverbs 4:13
Hold on to instruction, do not let it go; guard it well, for it is your life. (NIV)

Focus

Learning opportunities surround us. Some, like learning a new song or game, are fun. Others aren’t – or don’t seem to be. Some students enjoy school. They like learning new things about themselves and the world. Other students have difficulty appreciating their educational opportunity – they see school as a forced captivity; they’re just serving their time.

Students who feel this way may be frustrated because they don’t see the reason why they are taught. Others struggle because their learning styles don’t match their teachers’ presentation methods. Some may be overwhelmed by the seemingly constant challenges facing them as Christian in an environment that has anti-Christian values and cultures. As you prepare for this study, consider your own attitude about education. Are you seeking to learn new things every day? Ask God to give you a student’s heart, as well as a heart for students.

The Basic Message: Explain to students

• WHAT’S THE BIG IDEA?
Working hard in school can be a way to honour God and improve yourself.

• WHY DOESIT MATTER?
God expects us to take our spiritual and intellectual growth seriously.

• HOW DO I LIVE IT?
Accept the challenge to study hard, make good choices, and honour God with your attitude toward education.

Activity Option: LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES

As students arrive, ask them a few rounds of questions from a trivia game. Then discuss these questions:
• Where or how did you learn the answers to the questions?
• How do you think your life would be affected if you didn’t have the opportunity to get an education?

>Guide: Explain that learning opportunities surround us. Some we may enjoy, like playing or learning new games. On the other hand, studying for a test may not be much fun at all. Regardless of how you view school, let’s look at ways you can make the most of it.

Study Overview: Explain that today’s study considers

• What it means to value instruction.
• How being a diligent learner brings honour to God.
• The rewards associated with learning.

lnform and Discuss

a). Doing Your Best

1. Read or ask a volunteer to read Prov. 4:1-6. Why is learning important? [Hint: Learning, especially those things that are intellectually stimulating, keeps the brain alive and active. It exposes the mind to knowledge (which is a fundamental resource of life that enables us to live life intelligently)and enhances our institutions and communities.

2. What do you think is difficult about school and the learning that takes place there? [Guide: Explain that there are things about school that can be tough, but school is still a necessary part of life. Choosing to make the best of an imperfect or tough situation is one of the ways to honour God with our attitude.

3. Read or ask a volunteer to read Daniel 1:1-7. What might have been some of the reasons that Daniel and his friends chose to be cooperative? [Hint: Possibilities include wanting to honour God, fear, and recognizing the opportunity before them. Regardless, they decided to do their best, despite the circumstances.

Guide: Explain that even though Daniel and his friends were in a situation not of their choosing, with God’s help they acted wisely and achieved greatness. Point out to students that the knowledge they’re gathering in school today might be helpful in the future to propel them into positions of leadership where God could use them to influence an entire nation or even the world.

b). Dealing with Challenges

1. Read or ask a volunteer to read Prov. 9:9-10. According to this passage, what’s the connection between learning and wisdom? Does learning automatically produce wisdom? [Hint: We gain wisdom by being teachable. God encourages lifelong learning. But wisdom is knowing what to do with knowledge, particularly as it relates to honouring God. Putting God’s Word into action is the first step toward gaining true wisdom.

2. Read or ask a volunteer to read Dan 1:8-14. What situations at school could tempt you to compromise your values as a Christian? How would you respond? [Note: Not all the choices students make at school deal with education issues. Other issues will arise, giving the opportunities to make wise choices – demonstrated by actions – that reflect their faith.

Guide: Encourage students to emulate Daniel, who worked within the existing boundaries of the culture where he was, but continued to give God the first priority. He followed the channels of the authority and respectfully made his request.

Teacher Hint: DEFILED FOOD? [The problem wasn’t that the food was full of dirt. The problem was that it wasn’t prepared according to the teachings of Israel’s Law (and may have been offered to idols). Keeping to God’s standards is one of the main ways we show our devotion to God (1 Sam 15:22; John 14:15, 23).

c). Learning Has Rewards

1. Read or ask a volunteer to read Pro 4:7-13. What determines a person’s success? [Hint: Students are likely to mention such things as luck, education, and knowing the right people. Hopefully, some will mention God and hard work. Although true success is hard to define, God’s Word tells us what is important – take hold of God’s instruction and consistently do our best out of love for God.

2. Read or ask a volunteer to read Dan 1:15-20. How might working hard in school improve your chances for the future? [Hint: It brings self- improvement, gives you a sense of accomplishment, and boosts your confidence. | It brings favour; for God rewards hard work and dedication even if no one else notices. | It usually leads to somewhere good; for there is often a direct link between hard work and opportunity.

Guide: Point out that hard work isn’t necessarily efficient work. In many cases, hardworking students could benefit from improved study habits. Students who struggle despite good study habits can ask God for help. He knows how important learning is and wants to help them as He helped Daniel. If they remain faithful and work diligently, God will help them.

3. Read or ask a volunteer to read Col 3:23-24. What do you think God expects of you in all areas of your life including academics? [Hint: God expects His children to value instruction and to do their best, working as if they are working for Him.

lnvolve Them: BE TRUE TO YOUR SCHOOL

Explain that developing good study habits is one way to honour God. Have students write at least one good study habit they would like to develop or improve and how they plan to go about it. Then split the class into groups and have teens share school related needs and then pray with their groups for these need and their plans to develop or improve their study habits.

lnspire Them: Remind students THE BASIC MESSAGE of this study (pg 23), explaining WHAT the Big Idea behind the study is; WHY it matters, and HOW we can live the lesson captured in this study.

Ministry Activity: Discuss the students’ relationship with fellow Christians at school. Encourage them to think of these friends as family members in God’s family, who will help them to promote a good witness at school and lead unbelievers to the truth. Have them offer prayers for these friends.

Conclude the study by reminding students that the most important study they can undertake is the study of God’s Word. Remind them that God cares about every aspect of their lives including their struggles at school. Urge them to seek God’s help. And remind them their best is good enough.

Teacher Hint: Ask Yourself…

1. Do students understand the importance of making the best of their school situations?
2. Are they aware of the reward of giving education their best?
3. Have they had an opportunity to pray and commit to God their school-related challenges?

Beware Of Scoffers. RCCG Sunday School Manual 16/07/2023

MEMORY VERSE: “Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts”. –2Peter 3:3

BIBLE PASSAGE: JUDE 1:11-18
11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain, and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.
12 These are spots in your feasts of charity, when they feast with you, feeding themselves without fear: clouds they are without water, carried about of winds; trees whose fruit withereth, without fruit, twice dead, plucked up by the roots;
13 Raging waves of the sea, foaming out their own shame; wandering stars, to whom is reserved the blackness of darkness for ever.
14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,
15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.
16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after theirown lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.
17 But, beloved, remember ye the words which were spoken before of the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;
18 How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.
INTRODUCTION
Scoffer, in Greek, is ‘empaiktes‘ and it simply translates to a mocker. A scoffer mocks sin, Christ, twists God’s word for selfish gains, opposes the gospel and the things of God. The Bible uses scornful and scoffer interchangeably which all means mocker. Believers are warned to be careful and be on guard.
LESSON OUTLINES
1. TRAITS TO OBSERVE
2. THE DISPOSITION OF BELIEVERS
TRAITS TO OBSERVE
There are some peculiar traits that characterise scoffers. They deny the truths of Scripture and entice others to go along with their error (Jude 4). They refuse to believe the word of the Lord and despise God’s ministers (2Corinthians 36:16). They question the second coming of the Lord Jesus, pointing out the lapse of time and mock those who still wait and yearn for Jesus’ appearance (2Peter 3:4). They follow ungodly desires and cause divisions (2Peter 3:3Jude 18-19). They have a form of godliness but deny it’s power (2Timothy 3:5). They present lofty-sounding ideas to lead people astray (2Peter 2:1). They incite violent acts (Proverbs 29:8). They are proud leaders who make the judgement of God light (Isaiah 28:14-15).
THE DISPOSITION OF BELIEVERS
The proliferation of scoffers is a sign of the last days (2Peter 3:3). However, it is critically important that believers:
1. Take seriously the commands to study and meditate on God’s word (Psalm 1:1-2Joshua 1:8).
2. Remain in Christ spotless and blameless (2Peter 3:14Ephesians 5:27).
3. Continue to look for the appearance of the Lord (Titus 2:13).
4. Weigh every teaching with the word of God (Acts 17:11).
5. Know that God is never slack concerning His promises (2Peter 3:9)
6. Be established in their holy faith (Jude 20) and remain steadfast to the end (1Corinthians 16:131Timothy 6:12).
7. Try all spirits (1John 4:1) and grow in grace (2Peter 3:18).
CONCLUSION
Beware of scoffers and refuse to be one (Psalm 1:1).
QUESTION
1. Who is a scoffer and what are his/her characteristics?
2. What should be the disposition of believers to scoffers?

B. Relief Provided– Acts 11:29-30; 12:24-25

Learning Objectives

At the end of this lesson, students will be able to:
1. Learn how Gentiles came to faith in Christ though the witness of Jewish believers.

2. Share God’s desire to reach every people group for Christ.

3. Be encouraged to seek God for opportunities to cross cultural boundaries with the gospel.

*Introducing the Lesson
The Book of Acts begins with Jesus’ command for His followers at first, all Jews–to tell the world about Him.

Major themes include the extension of the gospel to non-Jewish people and the relationship of Gentile and Jewish Christians. Today’s lesson begins with Jewish believers, scattered by persecution, sharing their faith with Gentiles. They discovered that God’s promise of power was the same for every believer, not only the apostles.

*The Holy Scriptures
Acts 11:19-21,25-26
[19]Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.
[20]And some of them were men of Cyprus and Cyrene, which, when they were come to Antioch, spake unto the Grecians, preaching the Lord Jesus.
[21]And the hand of the Lord was with them: and a great number believed, and turned unto the Lord.
[25]Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, for to seek Saul:
[26]And when he had found him, he brought him unto Antioch. And it came to pass, that a whole year they assembled themselves with the church, and taught much people. And the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch.

Acts 12:1-3,7,21,23
[1]Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
[2]And he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
[3]And because he saw it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to take Peter also. (Then were the days of unleavened bread.)
[7]And, behold, the angel of the Lord came upon him, and a light shined in the prison: and he smote Peter on the side, and raised him up, saying, Arise up quickly. And his chains fell off from his hands.
[21]And upon a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat upon his throne, and made an oration unto them.
[23]And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the ghost.

Acts 11:27,29
[27]And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch.
[29]Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:

Acts 12:24-25
[24]But the word of God grew and multiplied.
[25]And Barnabas and Saul returned from Jerusalem, when they had fulfilled their ministry, and took with them John, whose surname was Mark.

1. Evangelising Both Jews and Gentiles
A. Empowered by God’s Hand–Acts 11:19-21
Acts 8:4 states that the believers driven from Jerusalem by persecution preached Christ “wherever they went (NLT).
Luke then focused on Philip and his witness to Samaria. After recording Saul’s conversion and Peter’s ministry to Cornelius, Luke returned to the witness of those scattered, who had made it all the way to Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Syrian Antioch (11:19). The capital of Syria, Antioch would be the starting point for all three of Paul’s missionary journeys.

The scattered believers spoke at first only to Jews. Many of these witnesses, although Jews, had been born and had spent their lives outside of Israel and been exposed to other peoples and cultures. Afterward they had been part of the church at Jerusalem, having accepted the gospel.

This lifetime of preparation readied them for the next step: on arrival at Antioch, they crossed the same barrier Peter had crossed earlier and began telling Gentiles about Jesus Christ (verse 20).

God was pleased with this outreach; “the hand of the Lord” was with the believers in their ministry (verse 21, KJV). “

The hand of the Lord” is a frequent biblical expression meaning God’s power or God’s Spirit, sometimes manifested miracles (Ezra 7:6,8-9; Ezekiel 1:3: 3:21-28). God did not limit His power to the witness of the apostles in the Book of Acts (Acts 6:8; 8:6; 9:17-18); nor does He do so today (see John 14:12). This display of God’s power in Antioch through ordinary disciples resulted in many committing their lives to Jesus Christ.

Questions for Applicationq
What barriers can you ask God to help you cross in your witness for Christ?

*How can the example of “ordinary” believers in Acts serve to encourage “ordinary” believers today?

*In what ways have you seen the hand of the Lord at work in your Iife?

B. Encouraged to Be Faithful–Acts 11:22-26
The news of fruitful evangelism in Antioch reached the church at Jerusalem.

Barnabas- seen earlier in generous giving, and in helping Saul toward acceptance- was sent by the church to Antioch (Acts 11:22). He rejoiced on finding the large number of Gentiles who had recently accepted Christ (verse 23).

Although we are not told the reason he was sent, Barnabas’ name, meaning “the Son of Encouragement,” suggests that his fellow disciples knew he could, by the power of the Holy Spirit, help the new believers start strong in their life in Christ (verse 24), Even so, his ministry in Antioch only began with encouragement, It also resulted in a new surge of evangelism, with many more coming to Christ.

Barnabas, knowing that the many new disciples in Antioch would require teaching, went to Tarsus to locate Saul (verse 25). Saul had been commissioned by Christ to take the gospel to the Gentiles (9:15).

He would thus spend an entire year with Barnabas teaching the Gentile converts in Antioch (11:26), This would serve as training for Saul’s Gentile missions, which began in
Acts 13.

Luke made note that Jesus’ followers were called “Christians” first in Antioch. This was likely an insult or pejorative coming at them from unbelievers. With time, however, “Christian” would become not a taunt, but a joyful designation that the children of God accepted for themselves (see 1 Peter 4:16).

Questions for Application
In what way can you encourage those who have recently accepted Christ as Saviour?

Why should the title “Christian” shape your behaviour not only publicly but privately as well ?

2. Persecution and Deliverance
A. James Martyred; Peter Spared–Acts 12:1-11
King Herod Agrippa l, grandson of Herod the Great, wanted to be seen as a devout Jew. He arrested some of the early disciples with the intention of mistreating them (Acts 12:1).

One of those arrested- then executed by the sword was the apostle James (verse 2). He and the apostle John, his brother, were two of Jesus’ earliest followers (Matthew 4:21-22). Called “Sons of Thunder by Jesus for their forceful manner, they wanted to be elevated to important positions in Christ’s kingdom (Mark 3:17, NLT; 10:35-45). Jesus emphasised, however, that greatness came by service, and that James and John would join Him in the service of suffering.

Having pleased his Jewish subjects by the death of James, Herod followed up by arresting Peter during Passover week (Acts 12:3). Likely knowing about Peter’s previous escape from prison, he took no chances, placing him under the guard of four rotating squads of four soldiers each (verse 4; see 5:1 7-20).

The turning point of the account is Acts 12:5. Although Peter situation looked hopeless especially in light of James’ martyrdom- the Church was praying “very earnestly” (NLT) or “without ceasing” (KJV) for him. The same Greek term refers to Jesus’ praying before His arrest and crucifixion (Luke 22:44).

On the eve of his trial, under heavy guard, Peter was awakened by an angel (Acts 12:6-7). Released from his bonds, Peter got dressed and followed the angel out of his cell (verses 8-9). As part of the miracle, neither the soldiers to whom he was chained, nor those who stood guard outside his cell, were aware of his departure (verse 10).

Peter himself thought that his experience with the angel was vision; only after the angel had led him into the city did he realise that he had, for the second time, been delivered from prison (verse 11). Those who celebrated the death of James would find that Peter had been rescued from the same destiny.

Questions for Application
Is It likely that the Church prayed for James, as they did for Peter? Why or why not?

How can we remember to face our challenges -both great and small by taking them before the Lord in prayer?

B. Rejoicing and Judgement– Acts 12:12-23
Peter went immediately to the home of Mary, whose son, John Mark, would later accompany Saul and Barnabas in ministry (Acts 12:12; see 13:4-5).

The sister of Barnabas (see Colossians 4:10), Mary appears to have been wealthy: her house was large enough to be a meeting place for a number of believers. Further, the fact no mention is made of John Mark’s father suggests that Mary was a widow.

Peter’s knocking at the gate was answered by Rhoda, a servant girl (Acts 12:13). The fact she recognised Peter’s voice may indicate she was also a member of the church. Surprisingly, her joyful report was met by unbelief (verses 14-15).

The disciples’ statement that Rhoda had seen Peter’s angel reflected a popular Jewish belief that each person had a guardian angel that could become visible, resembling the individual.

When finally admitted into the home, Peter testified of his rescue (verses 16-17). Although performed through an angel, Peter gave God the glory for his rescue. He wanted this experience to bolster the faith of the entire church and told those assembled to relate the good news to others.

Herod, his persecutor, had the prison guards executed for their perceived failure to hold Peter (verses 18-19). Afterward, Herod went to Caesarea. There, representatives of Tyre and Sidon sought him out to promote peaceful relations (verse 20).

Although Herod was angry with these cities, there is no indication that they were at war with him. However, their large population and limited land made it necessary for Tyre and Sidon to secure food from outside.

On the day he met with them, Herod put on a garment that historian Josephus reported was made of silver, and reflected the sunlight in a striking manner (verse 21). His listeners responded to his speech by calling his voice the voice of a god (verse 22). Herod, although desiring to be seen as a devout Jew, ignored the truth that God will not share His glory with anyone else (lsaiah 42:8). God’s judgement on Herod was instant and complete (Acts 12:23).

Questions for Application
Mary opened her home as a meeting place for the church. What resources do you have that God can use in the work of the ministry?

Compare Peter, glorifying God, to Herod, who readily accepted glory for himself. What happened to each?

3. Gentile Believers Help Jewish Believers
A. Prophesied Famine– Acts 11:27-28
During the year that Barnabas and Saul spent teaching the new believers in Antioch, prophets who arrived from Jerusalem joined them (Acts 11:27).

The term “prophet” throughout Scripture is used for individuals who spoke for God. Their purpose was to declare what God had revealed to them, whether regarding the future or His truth regarding the present. Prophets along with others who equip and build up the Church, have been given to the body of Christ by Christ himself (see Ephesians 4:11-13). Prophecy itself is a spiritual gift to be exercised for that benefit of the Church as God’s Spirit empowers (see Romans 12:6: 1 Corinthians 12:7-11).

A prophet named Agabus, by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, foretold that a sweeping famine would affect the entire Roman world (Acts 11:28). Luke, the author of Acts, noted that this prophecy was fulfilled during the reign of Claudius Caesar (AD 41-54). The historian Josephus recorded that Judea suffered famine during the reign of Claudius in which many died.

Questions for Application
How can a church make room for the ministry of prophecy, whether by prophets or by others in the body of Christ?

Read 1 Corinthians 14:29; 1 John 4:1. Why is it vital to test prophecies?

B. Relief Provided– Acts 11:29-30: 12:24-25
The believers in Antioch took little time in their response to the message delivered through Agabus.

The record of their giving, “every man acoording to his ability” (Acts 11:29, KV), llustrates an important principle taught by Jesus himself. In comparing the giving of the rich to the giving of a poor widow-as observed one day by Him and His disciples Jesus said that the widow had given more than all of the rich together (Luke 21:1-4). In the same way, God sees the giving of each believer and is alone qualified to judge the level of sacrifice each has made for Him. Acts 11:30 records that the Christians of Antioch relayed their gifts to their fellow believers by sending them with Barnabas and Saul to the elders of the church in Jerusalem. The involvement of mature Christian leadership in this act of benevolence helped ensure the integrity of their ministry of giving (see 2 Corinthians 8:20-21).

Luke recorded that after the death of Herod-who failed to give God the glory when others called his voice “the voice of a god, not of a man” (Acts 12:22)- the word of the true God “continued to spread, and there were many new believers” (verse 24, NLT). The love of God spread as well, displayed in the generous giving of the Christians in Ăntioch toward those in Judea.

Having delivered the gift entrusted to them, Saul and Barnabas returned to Antioch, with Barnabas’ nephew, John Mark (verse 25).

Questions for Application
If God alone can judge the level of your giving, how should knowing that affect how you give?

What can happen if money is handled in a church in a way that lacks purity and integrity?

How can believers and churches helping one another materially serve as a witness to the world?

Call to Discipleship
Believers who want to grow deep in their faith in Christ cannot ignore His mandate to share the saving message of His life, death, and resurrection with the entire world.

Each person who has accepted Christ was reached by someone who obeyed Jesus’ command to reach every creature for Him (see Mark 16:15).

At times this involves moving beyond culture and even prejudice to reach others unlike us. Believers must face the reasons they avoid extending the love and truth of Jesus Christ across Cultural boundaries, and ask God to help them move beyond these obstacles for Him. Those who yield to God in this way will find that the One who empowers them will work with them for the gospel every step of the way.

Ministry in Action
Examine your heart for dis-comfort around others that may indicate poor attitudes or prejudices and trust God to help you overcome them.

Pray that God would empower you to witness to whomever you encounter in your daily life this week.

Look for opportunities to cross cultural boundaries with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

“Why Growth Hacking Is Better Than Digital Marketing”- Bossmeek Media

In this interview, Ojo Emmannuel , a Blogger and a Growth Hacker discuss some of the ways that Growth Hacking is better than Digital Marketing. Read what he has to say to the very end.

CEHNIGERIA : What’s your name
EMMANUEL: Ojo Mayowa Emmanuel
CEHNIGERIA: Can you tell me a little bit more about yourself?

EMMANUEL: I’m a growth hacker, with a bit of passion for public relations. I’m an experienced digital marketing specialist and with my trainings I have consulted for about 110 small businesses. I own a lifestyle blog and also run a digital marketing company in Lagos.

CEHNIGERIA: Can you tell us some of the organisations you have consulted for ?
EMMANUEL: My consultations has been majorly across different industries like Fashion, logistics, ecommerce, procurement/furniture, real estate etc.
CEHNIGERIA: Can you tell me what a Growth Hacker does ?
EMMANUEL: Marketing Growth Hacker is a marketing professional specialized in profitably scaling traffic via content and distribution channels.
A growth hacker’s main responsibility is to expand the development of a business intelligently and quickly.
This means doing whatever it takes—implementing marketing strategies such as advertising campaigns, SEO or emailing, data and traffic analysis, and product design such as adding a feature or improving customer experience.

CEHNIGERIA: What does it takes to become a Growth Hacker.

EMMANUEL: More than anything, growth hackers are self-taught web enthusiasts, the most-valued qualities are the right mindset and variety of skills.
Because of their backgrounds, growth hackers are versatile and creative, and possess excellent analytical and critical-thinking skills. More specifically, their technical skills in web development mean they can work independently, thereby reducing the cost of certain hacks by doing their own coding.

Finally, knowledge of marketing, SEO, content/community management, or project management are just a few of the tricks they have up their sleeves to rapidly increase the growth of a company.

CEHNIGERIA: Why is Growth better than Digital Marketing?
EMMANUEL: Growth hacking is a popular term, but many business owners are unclear about what it means and how it differs from marketing and digital marketing
Growth hacking and marketing share the same fundamental principles, and can even share the same metrics; increased engagement, increased conversion, increased retention.

The key difference between the two is the scope of their goals.
A marketer could use engagement rate to analyse an overall goal of building brand awareness. A growth hacker, by comparison, could set a goal of increasing social sharing by 50%.

To put it simply, marketing activities can have a broad focus that encompasses any part of the funnel, whereas growth hacking depends on setting highly defined, achievable goals in order to reach a specific, singular outcome… growth, in case it wasn’t obvious enough!

CEHNIGERIA: What is you blog address ?
EMMANUEL: www.bossmeek.com.ng
CEHNIGERIA: Your advice for upcoming bloggers
EMMANUEL: Just stay focused and consistent. Consistency with everytime.
CEHNIGERIA: Thanks for your time
EMMANUEL: I really appreciate the opportunity.

Are You Interested In Having An Internship Contract? Here Are The Steps To Take

What is an internship contract?

The internship contract is a link between training and the world of work because it combines both ideas. It is a temporary contract during which, in addition to working, training issues will be included. It is designed especially for university graduates, middle or professional training graduates who have not yet worked, so that they can learn their profession by putting into practice what they learned during their studies.

The idea is good and, if applied well (because there are companies that abuse it), it can mean a more bearable transition between both points as well as providing a series of practical knowledge that will be of great use in the future.

Requirements to access an internship contract

In order to benefit from contract practices must meet certain requirements in college, vocational training, degree or certificate equivalent professional not have had another training contract for 2 years in any other company and who have not passed more than 5 years (7 if we have a disability) since obtaining the degree.

It is important not to confuse an internship contract with the training practices that we do during our studies (which will be carried out through an agreement between the university and the company or the corresponding administration) or with the training contract that any company can offer to a person who does not have a previous qualification in order to train it to work on its staff.

Contract period

An internship contract will last from 6 months to 2 years. If we are hired for less than 2 years, it can be extended until the legal limit of those 2 years is met and, if the company later decides to contact us, it will not be able to put a trial period because it would have already been completed.

The negative part is that some companies decide not to hire workers once the legal period is over because for them it is a great economic benefit to continue having people with this type of contractual modality.

The Social Security quota that they will have to pay for a trainee will be 30 to 50 percent cheaper, so the original idea of facilitating the labour insertion of young people is lost a little, after those 2 years of internship contract, they have to look for work again, which is not always easy.

characteristics

The work assigned to the employee must be related to his level of studies.

A trial period of 2 months will be established for graduates with a higher degree and 1 for those with a medium degree or equivalent.

The contract must be specified in writing with the help of ghostwriter for hire and the working day can be full or part-time. In any case, it will always be less than that of a full-time employee.

How much do you charge?

The remuneration of an internship contract will be assigned according to the collective internship agreement, but in the event that this is not mentioned, it may not be less than 60% (during the first year) and 75% (throughout the second) of the agreed salary for those workers who perform an equivalent position.

The employee will not receive in any case less than the minimum interprofessional salary when he is hired full-time and, in the case of working part-time, the salary will be reduced proportionally.

If at the end of the internship contract a labour contract is made, the time elapsed with this contract must be added to the work seniority in the company.

What happens when the contract ends?

If the worker continues in the company, a new trial period cannot be established. In addition, the duration of the internship will become part of your seniority in the company.

How to find an internship contract?

We can look for this type of contract just as we look for any job on the internet or in the State Public Employment Service (SEPE).

We must present the original copy of our title and meet the requirements that we have already mentioned. From there, it’s a matter of perseverance and luck.
Much encouragement!

How To Create Your Own Professional Library: A Practical Guide

The thinking and work that others have done before related to our profession will be of great help to us when it comes to, not only to have a wide knowledge of our trade, but also to know how to apply innovative solutions and be authentic experts in our sector.

With what they teach us in the race it is not worth

University degrees or bachelor’s degrees teach us a lot, but they barely scratch the surface of what your branch of knowledge covers, both in exclusively own subjects and in other multidisciplinary branches that are related.

We must also think that the content they give us is not always very up to date and that new knowledge emerges every day.

Therefore, a career must be understood as a kind of map that will guide us to acquire new training and new knowledge and not as the culmination of these.

Studying a degree is a privilege that you have to know how to take advantage of. And we are not referring to academic grades and merits, but rather that it opens a window to a new world and we must be curious enough not to just stare from a distance.

You have to jump, you have to get involved, you have to look further. Only then will we be brilliant in our field.

A professional must be updated

We always talk about the importance of differentiating yourself from the competition (in the curriculum, in postgraduate courses, etc.) to find a place in the hostile job market, but if you really want to differentiate yourself and stand out in a world of mediocre and wealthy people, then make sure your knowledge is up to date.

Find out about the new studies that are coming out, how things are changing, who are the most prominent authors and researchers, etc.

Also reserve a space in your professional library for novel academic articles, for new studies that could represent a change. Knowledge is power, you know that.

Where to start

Every time a university professor recommends readings or authors, write them down. There you will have your first list of books to start your library.

Obviously you must discern if what they recommend is one of those essential books that we should all read or if the teacher in question has released a mediocre book and wants to put it in with a shoehorn to increase its sales.

You can ghostwriter for hire they are searching new books.

There is everything, but think about one thing: even from the simplest essay we can extract interesting ideas.

Anyway, unless you live in a palace with large rooms full of empty bookshelves, the thing is that our own professional library only has those books that are really worth treasuring.

The rest, we can take them out of the public library and return them when we have read them.

A job for life

The creation of our own professional library is not something that is finished. It is a job for life that forces us to update ourselves and continue to increase our knowledge and, although knowledge does not occupy a place, books do, so it is committed to quality and not quantity.

You can also have your favorites on paper and others electronically, which, by the way, can be wonderfully organized with these programs.

“Tell me about yourself” answer.

It’s frequently the hardest question to reply during a prospective employee interview, which can come as an astonishment. After all, if there would one say one is subject, we should be surely responding to inquiries regarding, it’s ourselves, isn’t that so?

But, the obscure idea of the question leaves work searchers considering what precisely to state about themselves — and if there are good and bad “Tell me about yourself” interview answers.

Before the interview, go through the job description and invest energy on their site to become more acquainted with what it is they are looking for.
Mention how that skill or quality you have helped an ongoing boss.

2.    Give Numbers/Metrics

While going through your answer, give numbers and measurements that help what you’re discussing.

Anyone can say they helped “grow a team,” yet hearing that you “helped in growing a team of 25 representatives who created $75k in new deals” sounds much better.

3.    Keep It, Professional

Keep your answer proficient. You must remain on target and keep the appropriate response rotating around your work insight and the activity itself.

Sharing individual data isn’t all awful if it identifies with the job, however, it’s best for you to keep the appropriate response identified with your profession.

4.    Get Passionate About Your Solution

Showcase how excited you are about possibly landing the position by adding some enthusiasm to the appropriate response you give. The primary target here is to stand apart from different competitors, so you must make it significant.

Don’t get worried and go over the edge, however!

5.    Try not to List Off Your Resume

One of the greatest errors we see among competitors who answer the “tell me about yourself” question is repeating their resume.

They stall out on every detail around every job and read straightforwardly from their resume.

The questioner has experienced your resume, so discussing it won’t give the details expected to get this new position.

6.    Remain quiet about Negative Opinions

You’ve heard it a million times, however, it merits saying once more: don’t castigate your past managers. It looks horrendous and will probably kill an employing chief from pushing ahead with recruiting you.

Stay glad and positive – the easily overlooked details matter!

7.    Practice, Practice, Practice (Allen Iverson Voice)

Practice will without a doubt make your “tell me about yourself” answer more grounded.

With practice, you manufacture certainty, and it sounds more common coming out.

This will likewise keep you from babbling about pointless details.

At my present place of employment in the account branch of a medium-size organization, I handle booking, meeting, and travel deciding for four heads and 20 staff individuals. I additionally help plan correspondence, introductions, and reports.

“I’m basically known for being an efficient, meticulous cooperative person. I never miss cutoff times; I’m a good communicator and I can shuffle different assignments without a moment’s delay. In my performance reviews, my administrator consistently takes note of that he values my polished skill and eagerness for the job.

“With this particular expertise added to my personality, I’m hunting an opportunity to make the next drift in my profession. I’m wanting to do as such in an association like yours that attempts to improve the earth, which is something I’m enthusiastic about.”

What you should not to say while answering this interview question

Many employment candidates wrongly answer this common interview questions with discuss something individual. Some even launch into their biography, beginning with their old neighborhood and proceeding through their school graduation.

Then again, others share depictions of the issues in their present place of employment, clarifying that they went after this job because their manager is a micromanager, or their boss won’t permit them to work an adaptable timetable.

Furthermore, some job searchers basically sum up their resume, going point-by-point through their work insight and training history.

Furthermore, if you go with the third approach, you’re discarding a chance. You can expect the questioners to read your resume before welcoming you for the interview, and they needn’t bother with you to walk them through it.

EndNote

Be brief. Try not to occupy an excessive amount of time with your response. You don’t need to tell the recruiting chief everything that you think makes you an incredible applicant.

Simply give a couple of significant details that will start their enthusiasm for becoming familiar with you, and you’ll get the interview off to a great start.
